Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories
Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories is the second largest Indian pharmaceutical company. It was founded in 1984 by Dr Anji Reddy, today the company has yearly revenues of up to US $446 million. Although Dr. Reddy’s manufacture mostly generic drugs, they started a drug research programme in 1993 and in 1997 they outlicensed an anti-diabetes molecule to Novo Nordisk. Dr. Reddy’s is also the first Indian pharmaceutical company to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories have a broad range of products marketed both in the USA and in the European Union.
